How to make paneer cheese balls
Crispy paneer cheese balls and cheddar cheese flavoured balls. Cottage Cheese Paneer cheese balls is a tasty crispy way to enjoy cheese. They are tiny bite size pieces that you can easily pop in your mouth and ideal for dipping in your favourite sauces like mint chutney or tamarind chutney. You can ever customise your tastes.
That is indeed the magic of soft and creamy paneer. It is true that fresh cottage cheese works like magic in any of the recipes you choose. I love trying new recipes from other cuisines that include flavor combinations that my family will like.
Paneer is a fresh, mild and dence cheese that doesn’t melt. We can buy it in Indian grocery stores or can make paneer at home. It is a versatile vegetarian option.
Paneer absorbs spices really well and cooks easily. Here in this recipe of paneer cheese balls I have added just enough spices for a good background flavour and aroma. Paneer cheese balls ingredients are listed below.
Recipe for paneer cheese balls.
- 250 grams Grated paneer cheese Grated
- 100 grams Cheddar cheese Cubed
- 1 tsp Tandoori powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Jeera powder Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Amchur Powder Mango powder
- 2 tsp Besan powder Chickpea flour
- 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon Plain flour
- 1 tablespoon Corn flour
- Black pepper powder A pinch
- 1/2 nos Onion Chopped
- 1 nos Green chilli Chopped
- 300 ml Oil for frying
For the coating
- 100 grams Flour
- 100 grams Corn flour
- 200 grams Bread crumbs
- Pepper powder A pinch
- Salt To taste
Instructions to make paneer cheese balls recipe.
- Mix all the ingredients from list one with just enough water to bind / except cheddar cheese.
- Tip the mix into a shallow bowl.
- Shape the mix into small bite size balls.
- Flatten it out and place the cubed cheddar in the centre.
- Reshape the mix into a ball, with the cheddar cheese inside.
- Freeze the ball for an hour in the freezer.
- From list two mix the ingredients together with enough water to form a batter
- Dip the cheese balls in the batter and then into the breadcrumbs and keep aside.
- Heat the oil and deep fry the breadcrumbed paneer balls to golden brown.
- Your crispy paneer cheese balls is ready to serve!
