Smoked salmon stuffed Curd rice / Thayir saadam.
Smoked salmon Thayir saadam
Curd rice/ Thayir sadam is more often eaten by the south Indians as a part of meal. Rice and yogurt are the 2 main ingredients that go towards making this. It is called as thayir sadam in kerala. Yogurt rice can be made in different ways. I am sharing this with bit of fusion of smoked salmon, capers, gherkins and onion. Cooked rice is mixed with curd and then tempered to make it mildly flavorful.

Hi Annika, thank you. Creativity is just connecting things! Watch as many food magazines you can. One day this comes easy for you. People claim they are creative, but none of them are.
Smoked salmon is my absolute go-to food …. I love it unreservedly and eat it whenever I can – this is a fabulous new way of using it and I am going to make it tonight …. just need to nip to the supermarket to get the salmon and we’ll be away! Thank you SB – you are my go-to one-stop recipe shop these days ?
Thank you Osyth, the tempering gives the intense flavour to the curd rice. And the consistency matters. Not much thicker than a rice pudding. And should not be runny as well.
I feel prepared for this …. I’m glad you gave me the note about the crucial consistency – otherwise it could have been a horrible mess!
And cook the rice to full. Just below over cook, you will love it!!
I know I will! I have everything ready and can feel I will want an early supper tonight!!!
Enjoy your supper Osyth!?:)
